Entry forms

General conditions of entry (check entry form for additional conditions)

  1. Open to all artist over 18 years.
  2. FRAMING: All works must be suitably presented and ready to hang. This includes use
    of D-rings attached to the back of the frame (or stretcher if unframed) on the and right
    vertical edges, 1/3 from the top with cord or coated wire attached. Eye-hooks and
    cup-hooks are NOT acceptable. Staples, frame fixing points and any other sharp or
    protruding edges on the back of work must be securely taped to avoid damage or injury.
    The back of the entry must be securely labeled with the Artist’s name, Title of the work
    and medium. QAS reserves the right to reject an entry which does not comply with this
    requirement. A miniature is a painting sized 10x10cm; framed 30x30cm.
    Stretched canvases will be accepted unframed with clean edges.No refund will apply to works rejected and rejected entries and WILL NOT BE HUNG.
  3. COPYRIGHT AND PROMOTION: The Artist warrants that the entry is bona-fide work
    and has been completed in the last 2 years and indemnifies QAS for any breach or
    infringement of copyright. QAS reserves the right to photograph and /or reproduce any
    entry for promotional, educational or review purposes, including electronic media.
  4. ELIGIBILITY: Any work that has previously won a First Prize or Best Exhibit in Exhibition. Award at a previous QAS Exhibition /Competition is NOT eligible.
    Works may be entered more than once but not in consecutive Exhibitions.
  5. Paintings excess of one metre in width including frame (not depth) will incur an extra $5 fee.
  6. All paintings must be for sale. There will be a 20% commision on all sales.
  7. All care taken by QAS but no responsibility for loss, damage or theft.
  8. The committee reserves the right to reject any work.
  9. Paintings must remain at the Gallery for the duration of the Exhibition, unless sold and the artist can replace a painting under the same conditions.
  10. Artist must declare if GST registered, hobby artist or ABN holder. (tick appriate boxes on entry form)
  11. One painting can only win one Section.
  12. Unsold works must be collected from the QAS on the Saturday of a new intake.
  13. Any winning works is eligible to be hung in Qbyn Riverside Plaza street window for a month after the exhibition. Please notify the committee if you agree on tick the box on the entry form.
